The South Shore Guitar Association (SSGA) is a Nova Scotia–based community for guitarists who are passionate about solo guitar playing. Founded by guitarist Shawn Trotter, SSGA supports and celebrates guitar music in all styles — from fingerstyle and classical to flatpicking and hybrid techniques.
We meet once a month in a welcoming, collaborative setting using a “guitars in the round” format, where participants take turns playing tunes for one another, followed by discussion and shared insight into techniques, gear, and musical approaches. All experience levels and styles are welcome - players and listeners alike.
